History

Sunshine Spa & Aesthetics began with a simple vision: to create a place where clinical expertise and compassionate care come together to help people look and feel their best.

Founder Tina Mellesmoen has spent over a decade as a registered nurse, much of that time working in critical care and intensive care units. Her experience at the bedside shaped her commitment to safety, education, and truly listening to patients. After years in high-acuity hospital environments, Tina realized she wanted to build something different — a space where she could still practice medicine while focusing on prevention, wellness, and helping people feel confident in their own skin.

In 2024, that vision became a reality with the opening of Sunshine Spa & Aesthetics in Covington, Tennessee. As a nurse-led medical aesthetics clinic, the practice blends advanced aesthetic treatments with a strong medical foundation. Tina’s approach prioritizes natural-looking results, honest conversations, and personalized treatment plans that support long-term skin health and overall wellness.

What started as a small clinic has grown into a trusted space where patients feel comfortable asking questions, learning about their options, and taking an active role in their care. Tina remains deeply committed to serving the local community and building lasting relationships with patients who value thoughtful, ethical aesthetic medicine.
