Mornings with Main Street

For this session, we will walk Historic Downtown Covington together and evaluate everything we see. From buildings and storefronts to sidewalks, public spaces, streetscape, signage, and the overall experience of being downtown, we are going to look at our district with fresh eyes.

Using Community Evaluation forms, we will score our observations and then learn how to combine what we see with statistical data and observation surveys to better identify needs, opportunities, and priorities for our downtown. This is not just a walk around the block. It is a chance to see our downtown from a different perspective, have meaningful conversations, and learn how good information can help us make better decisions for the future of Historic Downtown Covington.

Come ready to participate, share your perspective, and maybe notice a few things you have walked past a hundred times without really seeing. And most importantly, wear comfortable shoes. We are putting some stepson September 28th! We will meet at Crafted Coffee at 9am. Join us for coffee, conversation, a little walking, and a fresh look at the downtown we all want to see thrive.
